How do you approach a wedding day?

Every wedding is unique, and I prioritize what’s important to my clients and their personalities. I approach the day with enthusiasm, joy and confidence in my role, taking photos that capture the emotional atmosphere of the day. There are so many moments of love, connection and laughter. The day goes quickly. I am here to guide the photography process, help you have fun taking photos, and document all the highlights and small moments in between, creating a narrative of the day. My goal is to make you and your partner comfortable, stepping in when I need to, and staying on the side as things naturally occur. This allows you to enjoy your day as much as possible, be truly present and soak it all in. When you look back at your wedding images you will feel the joy and emotions, and relive the experience of the day.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER OUR WEDDING?

After your wedding ends, I back up all your images. I pick a few to edit and send you an awesome sneak peak album (~25 photos) the next day. This is great to have immediately for thank you cards, your own announcements, holidays, and it is just super fun and exciting to have the next day to share.

You will receive the finished online gallery of your wedding 10 weeks after the wedding day. The private online album includes unlimited downloads. There are no water marks, and you can order products directly from the site, create favorite lists to share with family, or download yourself.

I will then send you a link to select favorites to put into an album (50 photos). You will receive the album within four months of your wedding day!

Where do you shoot?

I shoot all over! But I am local to New Orleans October - June, and am in the Northeast USA June - September.

Should we also book a

videographer?

Having video can be an amazing archival documentation of your day. Ideally, I like to work with videographers who align with my shooting philosophy. They are also there to capture the beautiful moments of your day as they happen, and to create real and authentic footage that instantly takes you back. Like photographers, there are different styles of videographers. With social media, even things like your wedding day can end up being highly curated, with a pressure to have things have to be “perfect.” Therefore to get the perfect footage, some videographers get very into staging and posing, having the couple redo moments/fake laugh/etc. to get all the clips they need for their style brand of video. I find that it can take away from the presentness and the energy of the day, and it also takes extra time, all which can take away your enjoyment of the day and the photographs. But I've worked with a lot of videographers in the past, and many are incredible. So it might be something you want to bring up when booking one.
